Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Speak With Love Foundation Corp. International.  Our work relies on compassionate, committed individuals who believe in healing, empowerment, and community transformation. As a volunteer, you play a critical role in helping women and families recover from trauma, disaster, and hardship.

 

OUR MISSION:

To heal, empower, and restore families and individuals affected by trauma such as domestic violence, grief, combat, burnout, poverty, and natural disasters and more.

OUR VISION

We envision a world where every individual, regardless of their past experiences, has access to the support and resources needed to overcome trauma and achieve holistic healing. A world where individuals feel seen, supported, and equipped to heal, grow, and live fulfilled lives.

WHY VOLUNTEERS MATTER:

Volunteers help us expand our reach, deliver emergency relief, support survivors, operate community programs, and provide hope to families in need. Your time and compassion directly improve lives.

 

VOLUNTEER ROLES

1. Disaster Relief Support - Sorting and packing supplies - Preparing relief barrels - Organizing distribution materials - Supporting community drop-off events, building shelters.

2. Communications & Outreach - Making phone calls - Email communication - Social media support Community engagement

3. Healing Program Support - Workshop assistance - Journaling program support - Event setup and coordination - Participant support

4. Administration & Operations - Data entry - Filing and organizing documents - Scheduling - Donation tracking assistance

5. Retail Store Set Up and Operation - organizing and pricing merchandise, assembling displays, stocking shelves, helping customers, and maintaining a welcoming, clean environment. No prior retail experience is required—training is provided.

6. Food Bank Set UP and Operation - sorting donations, organizing food items, labeling shelves, and setting up distribution areas. Support food distribution days by packing food boxes, assisting with check-in, help track, organize, and restock inventory. Tasks may include counting items, organizing storage areas, and noting supply needs. Assist during special events, pop-up distributions, or community outreach efforts. Tasks may include setup, cleanup, guest support, and general assistance as needed.

VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS & CODE OF CONDUCT

Our Commitment:

Volunteer Expectations:

As a volunteer, you are expected to:

  • Serve with respect, compassion, and professionalism

  • Be punctual, reliable and communicate promptly if unavailable

  • Follow organizational policies and procedures

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with participants

  • Represent Speak With Love positively in all interactions

  • Maintain professionalism

  • Wear and maintain uniforms and return them at the end of your shift (when applicable)

  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy

  • Follow safety and program guidelines

  • Agree to company Non Disclosure agreement

  • Review and Adhere to Volunteer Handbook guideline

  • Honor and respect confidentiality and privacy- Volunteers may have access to sensitive or personal information. All information must be treated as strictly confidential and shared only with authorized personnel.

Code of Conduct

Volunteers must not engage in:

  • Discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior

  • Unauthorized sharing of confidential information

  • Financial transactions with clients or participants

  • Substance use during volunteer activities

  • Any conduct that compromises safety or trust

Violations may result in corrective action or dismissal from volunteer service.

 

Safety & Respect

Speak With Love maintains a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Harassment

  • Abuse

  • Exploitation

  • Retaliation

Volunteers are encouraged to report concerns without fear of reprisal.

TRAINING & ORIENTATION:

Volunteers receive:

  • Program overview and trauma-informed communication guidelines (when applicable).

  • Uniforms (sometimes required to be returned at the end of your shift or tenure)

  • Event-specific instructions - Emergency and safety procedures

  • If you have questions, concerns, or need support, please contact your Volunteer Coordinator or organizational leadership.

WHAT VOLUNTEERS SHOULD KNOW

  • Volunteers are not compensated financially

  • Recognition is offered equitably and consistently

  • Participation in public recognition is always optional

  • You may decline recognition at any time

1. Complete volunteer form here

2. Attend virtual orientation. You will receive a meeting invite shortly after signing up.

3. Receive assignment based on availability and skills and pick up uniforms (if applicable)
