Hurricane Melissa Relief Effort:
Rebuilding Southern St. James, Jamaica

The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa has left many families struggling to recover.

As someone born and raised in Maroon Town (Backwood to be precise) witnessing the destruction of my hometown and neighboring communities such as Pimento Hill and German Town has been truly heartbreaking. In response, our team at Speak With Love is dedicating our efforts to supporting recovery and rebuilding in these areas.

We are currently collecting food, clothing, and essential supplies to help families rebuild their homes and lives. You can directly support this mission in two ways:

  • Make a monetary donation to help us with shipping, rebuilding materials, and direct local aid.  Your contributions help cover food, clothing, rebuilding materials, and direct aid to affected families.

In Jamaica we say: “Every Mickle Mek A Muckle” — which means every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

See links to our social media pages below so you can stay connected with us for updates, photos, and progress on our relief efforts.
Please help us restore hope and rebuild lives.  Thank you for standing with us and helping Jamaica recover with love.
